HOW TO BEAT THE DISEASE AND BE ENTITLED TO A PENSION? President of City Municipality of Palilula, Prof. Dr Igor Novakovic, with associates and mobile team which provides services to socially – vulnerable residents of Palilula, to meet May Day Holidays, visited Verica Tatic (1953), worker hygienists in Institute for Mental Health in Nis, who is because of severe disease for a long time on sick leave, without any income. About her currently take care son Zivorad Tatic (1978) who is also without job. This family, living in settlement Delijski Vis in Street Djevdjelijska, only hope in solving of this life situation that they had suffered has found in program of the project of Palilula Municipality. On this occasion, to the family Tatic was delivered a package of basic food boxes and necessary toiletries, prepared by Municipal Administration. Multidisciplinary mobile team of the project provided appropriate health protection to Verica Tatic and with Zivorad are evaluated specific legal procedures of achieving rights on social assistance, health protection, the care and pension. According to President of Municipality Igor Novakovic, visit of socially vulnerable residents of Palilula, practically confirms statistical data, that we are in terms of monthly income indeed one of poorest Municipalities in Republic. “Because our main task, as organ of local authorities, to recognize and manifest higher solidarity and social care about all categories of socially –vulnerable population in our settlements, both in the city and in the village. Project “Strengthening of Municipal capacity to improve the quality of life for socially vulnerable groups” is realizing in Palilula Municipality until end of October, with financial support of European Union, through Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities of Serbia, within program EXCHANGE 3. |
